Tippy and Zac!
Dr. Jennifer Gibson was born and raised in southernCalifornia just south of the
grapevine in Valencia, California. From a young age, she knew she always wanted to
help animals and become a veterinarian. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree
from the University of California, Davis in 2010 where she realized her true love was
working with all animals, great and small. In June of 2014 she graduated from the
University of California, Davis with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine interested
in mixed animal general practice and joined us here at the Yreka Veterinary Hospital
to begin her career as a veterinarian.
Dr. Gibson has a special interest in camelid medicine and holistic medicine.
As a veterinary student, she was vice president of the Camelid Medicine Club.
Dr. Gibson is also currently working toward an acupuncture certification. During
her free time, Dr. Gibson enjoys reading, hiking and relaxing with friends.
Dr. Gibson joins the Yreka community along with her little brown tabby, Bernice.

Doctors Robert and Denise Cook graduated from the University of California at Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1980 and married in 1981. Together they opened Montague Veterinary Clinic in 1983 and in 1993 they purchased Yreka Veterinary Hospital and combined the two practices. The Cooks have enjoyed the opportunity to provide care for both large and small animals in Siskiyou County for over 30 years and counting. Robert and Denise are the proud parents of four children. Their hobbies include ranching, farming, raising and training stock horses, tennis, and recently boating. Their pets include "Zac" a border collie cross and "Tippy" a grey tabby cat.
